Pruuf for care providers
Eyes on every client, every day.
Your caregivers cannot be in a hundred houses at once, and between visits you have no visibility at all. Pruuf puts a verified daily check-in on hardware your clients already own — and tells your on-call coordinator, not only the family, the moment one is missed.
No hardware. No installation visits. Your staff enrol a client in about three minutes on a visit they were already making.
62M
Americans aged 65 or over, heading toward roughly 73 million by 2030.
~16M
of them live alone — independent, capable, and unmonitored between visits.
1 in 4
adults 65+ fall each year. The harm multiplier is not the fall; it is the hours before anybody knows.
24h
the ceiling a daily check-in puts on worst-case discovery time — by definition, for every client on the roster.
Population and fall figures are public estimates from the US Census Bureau and the CDC, rounded. Verify current numbers before using them in a contract or a funded proposal.
What you are actually buying
Three things, not an app.
A presence layer
The cheapest possible daily confirmation that a person is alive and functioning: one tap, on the phone or watch they already own.
No pendant, no installation visit, and — the part that decides adoption — no stigma. “I’m not old enough for that” is what kills pendant programmes. Nobody has ever refused an app for being demeaning.
An escalation graph
When a day is missed, the family is notified and so are you. Whoever responds first presses “I’ve got this”, and everyone else stands down.
Your on-call coordinator is a node in that graph, not an afterthought — which means your organisation finds out at the same moment the family does, rather than from an angry phone call two days later.
An audit trail
Every alert and every response is timestamped and kept.
“The family was notified at 10:07. Sarah acknowledged at 10:11. The caregiver arrived at 10:34.” That sentence closes deals and defuses liability conversations, and it is the reason the record exists at all.
The dashboard
This is the real thing,
not a picture of it.
Click anything below. Open a client, work an alert, look at the on-call schedule, run a report. It is the actual interface, running in the page, loaded with a demonstration roster.
Today
Every client on one screen, sorted so the ones who haven’t checked in are at the top. Nobody has to go looking.
Alerts
Open an alert and you see who was told, who answered, when, and what they did — with call and text one click away.
Client codes
Every client’s six-character code is on their record and in the roster, so a coordinator can give it to a daughter on the phone without hunting for it.
Territories & staff
Caregivers, territories and an on-call schedule, so an alert at 6am reaches the person who is actually on.
Reports
Check-in rates, response times, and the missed-day record — for your own QA and for the family conversation.
Billing
One invoice, per member per month, in dollars. Add and remove clients as your roster moves.
The comparison you’ll be asked about
The anti-pendant.
Personal emergency response is a $1.5–2 billion US market built on hardware, contracts and monitoring centres. It works. It is also expensive, requires an installation, and a large share of the people it is bought for refuse to wear it.
Pruuf does less on purpose, at a price that lets you put it on the entire roster instead of on the six clients who agreed.
| Pendant / PERS | Pruuf | |
|---|---|---|
| Hardware | Device per client | None — their own phone or watch |
| Installation | A visit, per client | ~3 minutes on a visit you’re already making |
| Cost | $25–60 per client, per month | From $9.99 per client, per month |
| Worn / used? | Refusal is the classic failure mode | No stigma; it is just a phone |
| Covers a bad day | Yes, if pressed and worn | Yes — and also the day nobody pressed anything |
| Family visibility | Usually none | Built in, and a selling point for you |
| Record of what happened | Held by the monitoring vendor | Yours, timestamped, exportable |
| Emergency dispatch | Yes — that is what it is for | No. Pruuf notifies people. It does not dispatch. |
That last row is not a weakness we are hiding — it is the boundary of the product. Pruuf is not an emergency response service, a medical device or a monitoring centre, and any proposal that implies otherwise creates liability for both of us. Many operators run both: a pendant for the clients who accept one, Pruuf for the whole roster.
Rollout
The hardest step is the one you already do.
Getting a 78-year-old set up is the step where consumer software loses most of its users. In your business, a member of staff does it standing next to them, on a visit that was already scheduled.
The weakest link in the consumer funnel becomes a three-minute task your caregivers perform. That is the whole reason this works at scale for you and not for a stranger on the internet.
We set up your organisation
Territories, locations, caregivers, the on-call schedule, and who alerts go to out of hours.
Your caregivers enrol clients
On visits already on the calendar. Set the check-in time with the client, hand the family the code.
Alerts route to both
Family and your coordinator, at the same moment. Whoever acts presses “I’ve got this”.
You have the record
Check-in rates by territory, response times, and the timestamped history of every alert.
Who this is built for
Three kinds of operator.
Private-duty home care
You sell hours of human presence and cannot hire enough humans. Between visits — often six days a week — you have no eyes on the client at all.
Pruuf gives you daily coverage without a minute of labour, and gives your sales conversation a sentence nobody else has: “we check on your mother every day, including the days we’re not there.”
Franchise care networks
Every office is independently owned, but the brand can hand one tool to the whole network with a pre-negotiated rate.
Four hundred offices at a hundred clients each is 40,000 protected people from a single relationship — and a differentiator the network owns rather than rents.
Independent & senior living
Independent living is sold on the promise that nobody checks on residents. That promise is also the operator’s worst liability.
A daily check-in preserves the independence branding, gives the front desk a “not yet today” list, and turns family visibility into an amenity you can market.
Plans
Priced per member, per month.
In US dollars. No hardware, no setup fee, no per-alert charges. Pick whichever shape suits you — a flat rate per office, or a rate that tracks the roster.

Text and voice escalation for clients without a smartphone is metered separately at cost. We will quote it against your actual roster rather than guess.
Data and security
What we hold, and what we don’t claim.
- Very little is stored. A first name, a check-in time, who is connected to whom, and the timestamps of check-ins and alerts.
- No location, ever. The app does not request location permission and holds no location data about anyone.
- No health records. Pruuf is not a clinical system and deliberately holds nothing that would make it one.
- Row-level isolation. Every read is scoped to the organisation or person making it, enforced in the database itself rather than by application code.
- Deletion on request, for a client or for your whole organisation, and it removes the records rather than hiding them.
We do not currently hold SOC 2, HIPAA attestation or any other certification, and we are not going to pretend otherwise on a website in order to get into a procurement process. If your review requires one, tell us early and we will tell you honestly where we are. Pruuf holds no protected health information by design, which is usually the shortest route through that conversation.
